NDFOP Lodge 7 endorses Burlingame

Kenton Kossan, President NDFOP – SVRL #7 Minot

The North Dakota Fraternal Order of Police – Souris Valley Regional Lodge #7 announces our enthusiastic endorsement of Scott Burlingame in his campaign for Alderman on the Minot City Council.

Scott’s professional executive experience and expertise in the nonprofit community will easily translate into dedicated and smart public service. Year after year Scott’s stewardship and sound decision making in multimillion dollar budgets at Independence Inc, have already ensured vital services to some of our community’s most in need are provided in a manner that leads his clients to thrive. This conduct goes well beyond simply plugging dollars into various programs, but knowing how to best prioritize funding to get the “biggest bang for our buck” with each dollar spent. Scott demonstrates fiscal responsibility while ensuring the best possible services are provided. The people of Minot deserve to have this insight added to the City Council.

We also cannot overstate the value to Lodge #7 of bringing all stakeholders to the table to find solutions to community concerns, like taxes, provision of superior vital public services, and quality of life for our residents and visitors. Scott’s approach to determine how to make this a “Win-Win,” as he likes to say, is a refreshing change to the attitude permeating our current political climate of “You can’t please everyone.” When this attitude is allowed to fester, fewer and fewer are “pleased.” An approach that embraces dismissal of voice or ideas. Scott embraces and employs a “Tell me more so we can get there together” approach. A true voice of reasoned compromise.

Scott understands and demonstrates that the most important resource in any organization are the people that make it work. He encourages and promotes an environment of growth and excitement with those who work for him. Scott not only values their input, but also actively seeks it out to ensure those they serve are BEST served by the organization. Lodge #7 asks you bring this knowledge, experience, and energy to the Minot City Council on November 8th by a vote for Scott Burlingame!

Starting at $3.75/week.
