All racism is evil

“It’s time we have an honest conversation about race in this country.” So goes the now cliched disingenuous offer usually initialed by the left. Disingenuous because they are not looking to have “a” conversation about race, but only a particular one that fits their narrative of America as a deeply “systemically” racist country. If anyone, especially a white person, disagrees with that premise, then you know what happens. They are called what? You got it, a RACIST (shouted and stated with outrage and moral superiority for the maximum virtue signaling effect).

This is precisely why most people who dissent from the current Cultural Marxist Critical Race Theory analysis of ubiquitous racism in the United States self-censor and don’t engage in such an “honest” conversation. They don’t want to be labeled with the “R” word.  However, by overuse and abuse of the term the left has gutted and looted it of all meaning so no one should be overly concerned any longer about being slandered with the label “racist.” The fear of being defamed in that manner is precisely how they control you to either keep quiet or agree with their “America as a terrible systemically racist country” narrative.  In fact, CRT itself holds that all white people are de facto racists, and if you deny it that only proves how deep your racism runs. In the words of Robin DiAngelo, you are displaying your “White Fragility” defensiveness. They’ve rigged the discussion so you can’t win. “He who frames the issue wins the debate.”

To start this honest discussion with hopes of finding common ground, how about a couple of mutually agreed upon transparently axiomatic (self-evident) truths such as all racism is evil and that, in the words of MLK Jr. “a person should not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character?” We surely can all agree to that can’t we? Unfortunately, no, we can’t. Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, author, professor, and the most prominent “anti-racist activist” recently wrote: “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.” Thus this leading figure in the woke “anti-racist” movement in essence is stating he’s opposed to equality under the law and advocating for government sanctioned discrimination on the basis of race.

This is perhaps why we now see burgeoning racism in the name of “anti-racism.”  Space prohibits listing even a small percentage of the examples of this well established and dangerous trend, for they are indeed legion, but here are a few. Coca-Cola’s Human Resources Dept. as a part their “Diversity, Inclusion, & Equity” (fittingly abbreviated DIE) training told their white employees to “try to be less white.”  A private off-campus housing complex for the University of California, Berkeley recently banned white people from common spaces and has required white guests also be kept from these areas without first alerting the other tenants of color, apparently so they are not “triggered” and “traumatized” by the unexpected and unwanted white visitors. The Smithsonian Museum posted a “Whiteness Chart” to make visitors aware of certain troublesome signs of whiteness, namely rational scientific linear thought and logic, individualism, hard work, self-reliance, objectivity, the nuclear family, progress, respect for authority, politeness, delayed gratification and other “problematic” traits! In 2019 Lockheed Martin, the nation’s largest defense contractor, sent high-profile executives (only the white ones mind you) to a three-day training camp for diversity indoctrination where they were required to write letters of apology to “marginalized people whom they may have harmed.” Minnesota Public Schools are instituting a new blatantly racist (and patently illegal) policy dictating that if there are layoffs white teachers will be laid off before “educators of color” regardless of seniority. Pfizer now is offering a prestigious fellowship called “Breakthrough Fellowship” that specifically bars whites and Asians from applying, again flagrantly illegal but the beat goes on.

This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of how rampant and accepted anti-white racism is currently, and it’s getting increasing more dangerous as now medical schools and airlines in their never ending search for more diversity (equity) in their hires are lowering objective standards for those, quite literally, “life and death” occupations.

Well, there is my attempt to kick-off that honest discussion about race we need to have in our country. Again, if we can’t agree that all racism against any people group (all made in the imago dei-image of God) is evil, I don’t have much hope for a resolution or, quite frankly, for the future of America.
