Landis Larson, President – North Dakota AFL-CIO

This election there is a lot on the line for working people in North Dakota. We are dealing a pandemic that is getting worse, not better. We are dealing with an economic crisis that is getting worse, not better.

Many North Dakota families are experiencing the pain of unemployment, the fear of losing their housing, and the anxiety of losing their healthcare against a backdrop of rising COVID-19 cases in our area.

The lack of leadership by those with power in this state is truly heartbreaking. We need leaders who will stand up for our safety, our dignity, and our freedom to join together at work and in our communities and fight for a better day tomorrow. We need leaders who will actually lead in these times of crisis, not just repeat talking points and dodge basic questions like “How many people are getting sick at work?” or “Why are so many people having a hard time accessing their unemployment and other benefits?”.

We all know actions speak louder than words and that’s why I urge you to do your research this election, read up on what the candidates actually did and how they voted on working families issues, make up your own mind and vote by Nov. 3rd!

You can find labor voting records for many incumbents at www.ndaflcio.org/nd-labor-voting-records and see for yourself if they have earned your vote this election.

We deserve leaders that we can count.
