Thanks to Minot Public Library
Friends of the Minot Public Library Board members
The Friends of the Minot Public Library members offer gratitude to the Minot Library Director, Janet Anderson, and her staff for operating during Covid19. While other libraries in the state remained closed, Minot’s Library staff adapted and quickly found a way to serve its patrons. Curbside service was implemented to let people continue to check out books, movies and board games. Popular programs like Children’s Story Time and Chapter Read A Loud were posted on Facebook along with Adulting 101, Virtual Art, Bingo and Lego Challenge.
The electronic services at the Library have been expanding for years and have become even more popular during the pandemic. Besides the large selection of eBooks and eAudiobooks, there are many free resources to choose from including topics on genealogy, travel, health and business. All of these items can be found at minotlibrary.org.
Curbside service is still offered and now the Library is open limited hours after making changes to limit contact and increase cleaning opportunities. Vulnerable persons can access the library for the first hour daily.
We again thank the Library staff for helping all of us get through these uncertain times and continuing to serve Minot’s citizens with their dedication.
