Amazing deeds being done

Lianne Zeltinger, Minot

In just under a year I have seen some of the most selfless actions by random citizens across the state who magically come together to assist cats and dogs in need.

Who knew people would transport unknown animals across the state to get them on their way to a new home or treatment? And, to do it without any compensation! Some people have dedicated the past 30 years of their lives in this practice.

Others have helped their first animal. Individuals, rescues, fosters, and shelters from Fargo to Williston and all points in-between come together with a single goal of assisting an animal in need.

They may all believe that their individual missions and programs are the best methods or the only methods, but all that falls away when they hear there is an animal in need. This happens multiple times a day across our state and across the country. This work is a hidden treasure that I believe needs to be shared and this is the season to do just that.
