White boys, racist hats

So, a bunch of white boys, wearing racist hats, are taunted by some blacks. In retaliation, the white boys, whose school mascot is an Indian, (so of course they respect and tolerate other races) begin chanting and mockingly dancing, which upsets the elders, all because the white boys wear racist hats. Did I get that right?
