I had the honor and opportunity to greet and thank Veterans when I attended the 6th Annual North Dakota Vietnam Veterans Memorial Event March 29 held in the La Quinta Suites in Minot sponsored by the Minot VFW Post 753. What a heartwarming experience to have our community coming together making the success possible of this Salute to the Vietnam Veterans with music, food, many helping hands and a welcome to all.

The afternoon wrapped up with Retirement Ceremony of Flags performed by the Minot American Legion and the release into the sky of the red, white and blue balloons in memory of all North Dakota Veterans surely brought this day to a memorable fitting close.
