Right thing for our future

Lynn Aas, Minot

Minot is growing; make no doubt about it. The prospected city growth is real and sustainable. Now is the time for our community to make the right decisions and back the bond that has been promoted by the Minot Public Schools.

I commend the school board and school administration for tackling the growth with a full proposal that will not only address the immediate need for a new elementary school but also includes the planning for converting Central Campus into a middle school and building a new high school. Planning a high school takes time; we know this based on when Magic City Campus was built more than 40 years ago following the flood of 1969.

I encourage you to get the facts. Once you do, join me in voting “yes” on Dec. 10. A yes vote is doing what is right for the future success of our children and future of our city.
