The Minot Daily News congratulates Jim Rostad, who has been re-elected as Northwest director on the North Dakota School Board Association’s board of directors, according to information provided by the NDSBA.

Rostad, who is also the president of the Minot Public School Board, was first elected to the state board in 2010 and served as president of the state board from 2014-2016. Rostad brings valuable experience to both the Minot school board and to the state board. He has served as Minot school board president since 2012 and also serves as the liaison to the Minot Air Force Base School Board and has worked to secure funding for federally-impacted schools on both MAFB and in the Minot Public Schools.

Rostad also serves his community as a commissioner on the Ward County Commission, a position he has held since 2016.

The city and state are lucky to have people like Rostad who are willing to give of their time and experience to serve the public.
