Park District’s survey to collect rec ideas a good plan

Minot community members will have the opportunity to share their needs and ideas for future recreational programming in the city.

The Minot Park District is conducting a community phone survey to hear directly from residents about recreational programming desires.

The survey began Tuesday night and will continue until 375 phone surveys have been completed. Odney Inc. has been hired to conduct the survey.

Park District officials want community members to know the phone number on caller ID will be 701-892-7420, a Wahpeton prefix.

The Minot Park District manages over 21 parks and facilities, including Roosevelt Park Zoo, Minot Municipal Auditorium, Maysa Arena, golf courses, baseball and softball fields, pools and aquatics, tennis courts, soccer fields, outdoor rinks and trails.

The survey’s main focus is recreational programming.

When the survey is completed, the findings will be released. Park District officials hope to wrap up the survey project this spring.

We think it’s a good idea.
