Take the challenge and capture your view of Minot

How do you see Minot?

Minot Mayor Shaun Sipma is challenging people in this community to take photos or videos of what comes to their mind when they think about the Magic City.

The “Minot Through Your Eyes” contest is expected to bring out the artistic talents of many people and how they visualize this community.

This contest gives community members a chance to take a look around the city and capture what they see in photos or videos. The photos or videos can be of anything from bridges, buildings or other structures, streets, sunsets or sunrises, events, people and anything else that comes to mind.

“The point is, it’s your view of Minot we’re interested in. The subject matter might be important only to you, or to your family, but that’s what makes this contest unique. ‘Minot Through Your Eyes’ can truly mean something different to every resident of our community, and we’re looking forward to the beauty and history of our city, captured by you,” said Sipma in his column published in the The Minot Daily News’ Weekend Edition this past Saturday-Sunday.

Those entering the contest are asked to follow a few simple guidelines: Submit original photo, videos or works of art that show “Minot Through Your Eyes.” Entries can be submitted to: https://www.minotnd.org/667/Mayors-Community-Challenge or through Instragram using #myminot or #oneminot.

Sipma will announce the winners during the State of the City event on Feb. 6 beginning at 4:45 p.m. in Arvel Graving Theatre at Minot’s Magic City Campus.
