Kristi Ann (Hilleren) Cabbage, 78, passed away June 13, 2026, in Dallas, OR.
A private family gathering took place August 1st in ND.
Kristi was born December 17, 1947 to Lois and Arnold Hilleren of Parshall, ND. She was raised on the family farm where she helped care for younger sisters and enjoyed working with the livestock. Kristi graduated from Parshall High School; she attained her LPN degree from NDSCS and moved west, settling in the Seattle area.
She married Neil Cabbage in April 1971; they lived in Burien, WA and had 2 daughters: Jennifer and Sarah. Kris and girls took the train to ND to see family every year. In 2012, Kristi and Neil moved to a small farm at Dallas, OR, to be closer to the grandkids. Kris loved her farm where she raised sheep, cats, and gardened.
Kristi is survived by her husband, Neil, daughters Jennifer Cabbage (Kevin Kacmarynski) and Sarah Cabbage (Ryan Keith), grandchildren Conner and Gwendolyn Kacmarynski, sisters Barbara (Loren) Dramstad, Lynda (Tom) Childress, Marci (Terry) Koepplin, and Kari (Roger) Christenson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kristi is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Nancy Hilleren and Cheri Hilleren Thompson, and her in-laws.
The family ask memorials be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, a local food bank, or an animal rescue. Bollman’s Tribute Center, Dallas, OR, cared for the family.
