Beverly J. (Erb) Mahoney, age 94, of Minot, ND, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, at Faribault Senior Living in Faribault, MN.
Beverly Joyce was born to Joseph and Sophronia (Bursau) Erb on July 5, 1932, in Surrey, ND. After graduating from Surrey High School in 1950 she traveled and worked as a secretary at various places. Bev married Jerry Mahoney in 1955, and they remained married until his death in 1987.
Bev's final job was as a secretary to the Dean of Nursing at Minot State University. She retired in 1994. Bev was very active at St. Michael's Church serving on many committees and enjoying her friends there for bible studies. After retiring, she enjoyed gardening, and knitting. She gifted each of her grandchildren beautiful afghans which they all cherish. Bev was an excellent seamstress as well. She excelled at crossword puzzles and word searches.
Bev is survived by her son, Michael (Brenda) of Faribault, MN; grandchildren, Jon Mahoney of Clarksville, TN, Kali Guillien (Phil) of Keiler, WI, Daniel Mahoney (Erika) of Victoria, MN, Jim Theil (Jess) of Grand Forks ND, David Theil of Grand Forks, ND, Katie Turk of Minot, ND, and Andy Theil (Teri) of Minot, ND. She is also survived by one sister, Joan Mahoney, and many beloved nieces and nephew. Bev leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren.
Proceeding her in death were her parents; husband, Jerry; and daughter; Kerry. She also mourned the loss of two beloved nieces and a nephew.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 218 1st St. SE, Minot, ND. Interment will be at the Rosehill Cemetery in Minot, ND. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church.
