Sharon Ebach, 74, Minot, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026 in Minot, surrounded by her loved ones.
Sharon Ann Hayden was born on August 23, 1952, daughter of Dan and Mabel (Hammer) Hayden in Minot, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot Public Schools.
On March 22, 1980, Sharon was united in marriage to Paul Ebach. Together, Sharon and Paul shared many wonderful adventures and memories, including time spent in Arizona, before eventually returning to Minot.
Sharon was a talented hair stylist, and she brought her skills to many salons. Sharon worked in Arizona at Smith's Grocery Store and shared many fond stories of the people she met and helped. She loved shopping, visiting the casino, and decorating extensively for the holidays. She was also known for writing the most thoughtful letters and cards to her family back home, always making sure they knew how much she loved them.
Sharon was a bright, loving, and playful soul who had a remarkable ability to bring light wherever she went. There is no wonder her favorite flower was the sunflower -- it reflected the way she carried sunshine with her and brought warmth to the people around her. Sharon loved her nieces and nephews dearly and cherished the time she spent with them and her extended family.
As life became more challenging, Sharon found comfort and friendship in the many medical professionals who cared for her. She brought her own fun to every appointment, especially when it was time for "Fancy Friday." Sharon loved coordinating her outfit with the week’s theme from head to toe, and her friends looked forward to watching her waltz through the door.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Paul Ebach; sisters, Darlene Rust and Diane (Obert) Fjeld; brother-in-law, Dick Whorley; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Mabel Hayden; sisters, LaVonne Whorley, Jeannie Bechtold, and Connie Moran; brothers-in-law, Franklin Rust, Lawrence Bechtold, and Bill Moran.
Sharon’s life was a beautiful reminder that joy can be found in the smallest moments. She loved brightly, laughed often, dressed fabulously, and brought sunshine wherever she went. Her memory will live on in the hearts of the many people she loved and the countless people whose lives were brighter because she was in them.
Funeral: Friday, September 4, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
