Eric Jon Harmel, 53 of Williston was born on May 25, 1973 to Jeryl "Jerry" and Victoria "Vicky" Harmel in Rugby, North Dakota. He died unexpectedly on Monday, September 14, 2026 at the CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center in Williston, North Dakota. Eric is survived by his daughter, Morgan Bundy of Rugby; grandsons, Colt and Boston; sisters, Jan Voeller of Houston, Texas and Trica (Rick) Adams of Moorhead; his girlfriend, Megan and her family; his dog, Brea; nieces, nephews; a great niece; aunts; his dad Jerry's wife, Sharon Harmel; numerous other relatives and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please leave a memorial in honor of Eric to the Rugby Hockey Association or the Williston Basin Skating Club.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Rugby Eagle's Club on Highway 2 in Rugby. Lunch and fellowship will follow at Dakota Farms on highway 2 in Rugby.
Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service and sharing of memories beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby.
