Natalie Wade

March 24, 1930-July 27, 2026

Kenmare

Natalie Wade, 96, Kenmare, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026, at her home in Kenmare. Genevieve Natalie Binfield was born March 24, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of William John Binfield and Genevieve Binfield (Deems).

On October 10, 1954, Natalie married Argyll G. Wade at Elmdale Lutheran Church in Niobe, ND. The couple lived one month in Kenmare before moving to the farm of Argyll's parents', where they lived for one year until moving to Missouri. Natalie worked at Pacco for the winter, moving back to Kenmare for a short time. They moved around to different towns wherever Argyll found work. Natalie would often do housework for people when they lived one winter in Everett, Washington. Before leaving for Washington in 1956, she worked at the Kenmare laundry as Billie Mortensen and Argyll had left to find work. Ardis Mortensen and her children, Judy and Dale left to join Billie and Argyll in Everett, Washington.

Argyll and Natalie came back to North Dakota and returned to the family farm. While Argyll was farming, Natalie raised bees and chickens and grew a lovely garden. One of her passions in life was gardening, being known for her special "glads". Argyll and Natalie tended the farm until Argyll passed away from cancer on September 20, 2003. Natalie stayed on the farm and rented it out.

Natalie is survived by her daughters, Kathy McCormack (James) of Des Lacs, ND and Rosalie Warren of Kenmare, ND; grandchildren, Chaya McCormack (Thomas Geyer), Jeremy Woolard and Jacklyn Woolard; great grandchild, Aria Scarlett Rose Dunlap and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William John Binfield and Genevieve Agnes Binfield; her husband Argyll; brothers, Bill Binfield, Tony Binfield and Bruce Binfield; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Binfield and Maria Binfield and her half-sister, Harriet Margaret Kruger.

Visitation: Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Service: Her funeral service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Elmdale Lutheran Church of Niobe, ND with Pastor Pauline Crowder.

Burial: Natalie will be laid to rest next to her husband Argyll at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Kenmare, ND following a reception and lunch at the church. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to be at the cemetery by 2:00pm.
