Lenora Brunnemeyer, 83, Minot, died Monday, August 10, 2026, in a Minot nursing home.

Lenora Elaine Carlstrom was born on September 8,1942, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Carl and Ester (Anderson) Carlstrom. She was raised and educated in Audubon, Minnesota and graduated from Audubon High School in 1960.

Following high school, she was employed by a Jewish family in Fargo as a nanny and cook for 6 years. After, she worked for St. Luke's hospital for 9 years in the dietary department.

Lenora was united in marriage to William Brunnemeyer on November 8, 1975, in Fargo, ND. They farmed near Rock Lake, ND until 1985. They spent the next six years between Devils Lake and Rock Lake and in 1991, moved to Rome, NY following Bill's job in flight simulation. In 1995, they returned to North Dakota, moving to Minot where she worked as a cook at Sawyer Public School. She retired in 2000. William died on November 15, 2020.

Lenora was a member of First Baptist Church in Minot, the Swedish Heritage Society, and the Homemakers Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and embroidery. She will be remembered for kindness and generosity.

Lenora's loving family includes: sons W. David (Ben) Brunnemeyer, Tempe, AZ, Daniel Brunnemeyer, Minot, ND, Bryan (Apoll) Brunnemeyer, Duluth, MN, and Ryan Brunnemeyer, Minot, ND.

Lenora was preceded in death by her husband William, brother, Charles, sister, Miriam, and a niece Darla Soholt and nephew Donnie Carlstrom.

Interment: Elison Cemetery, Rocklake, ND at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to First Baptist Church of Minot.
