Joyce Elaine Keil, 90, of Wildwood, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026.
She was born on December 4, 1935, in Minot, North Dakota, to Raymond and Ruby (Irwin) Newman, and was raised on the family farm in rural Sawyer, North Dakota.
Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Reverend Paul Keil; her son, Tim Keil and his wife, Rebecca; her daughter, Tami Jo Alm and her husband, Kevin; eight grandchildren, Elli Jo (Teddy) Bacon, Lexi Jo (Landry) Bielefeld, Griffin Alm, Matthew Keil, Nicole (Darren) Goodman, Austin Gibson, Olivia Gibson, and Tristan (Tayler) Gibson; six great-grandchildren; her younger brothers, Richard (Donna) Newman and James (Joann) Newman; her brother-in-law, David Keil (Marilyn); her sister-in-law, Lois Hutchinson; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and neighbors and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruby Newman; her nephew, Daniel Newman; and many beloved aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
Joyce lived a life deeply rooted in faith, devotion, and service to others. A gifted musician, she was an accomplished pianist, organist, and accordion player. Her greatest joy was serving alongside her husband in ministry, faithfully supporting his pastoral work by providing music for church services throughout their decades together.
Over the course of her life, Joyce and her family lived in Sawyer, North Dakota; Cleveland, Tennessee; Stockton, California; Grand Forks, North Dakota; Park River, North Dakota; and finally Wildwood, Missouri, where she spent her later years.
Joyce was truly adored by all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
Celebration of Life: Sunday, August 9, at 3:00 p.m. at Journey Church Assembly of God in Minot, North Dakota.
Interment: A private family burial will follow.
