In Loving Memory of Linda Ann Berdahl-Olson.
Linda was born on December 21, 1948, to Albert John Berdahl and Anna M. Kraus in Forsyth, Montana. She and her family lived in numerous places in North Dakota and Montana finally settling down in Watford City, ND where she attended high school until her graduation in 1968.
Linda attended Williston State College and later transferred to Minot State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, specializing in Addiction Studies. Linda graduated from Capella University with a Master's Degree at age 50. She had an internship at North Dakota State Hospital before moving to Minot to work at the Human Service Center. She also worked at the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch before opening her Private Practice, Cornerstone Addiction Services in 1996, where she practiced out of the Eaton & Associates building until her retirement in 2023.
Linda married Jack Baisch in 1968. They lived in Tioga and Watford City, ND during their marriage. They later divorced after 23 years of marriage.
Linda married Donald "Big Bear" Olson in 2003. They lived and worked together in Minot and Dunseith ND where they managed her private practice and taught alcohol and anger management classes.
Her hobbies included reading, having lunch with her friends, gambling, going to garage sales, spending time with her cat, Peaches, and traveling to Texas to hang-out with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She recently became an avid scrapbooker and was in the process of making scrapbooks of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a lifetime member of the Veteran’s Auxiliary (VFW).
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Albert and Anna Berdahl, brother, Alfred Berdahl, her brother-in-law Bill Singleton, ex-husband Jack Baisch and beloved husband Donald Olson.
Surviving Family Members: children, Jennifer (Guillermo) Martinez of Rowlett, Texas, Stephanie Baisch (Charles Lassiter) of Sherman, Texas, and Jason (Tori) Baisch of Breckenridge, Texas; Sister, Gloria Singleton of St. Petersburg, Florida; Stepchildren: Corey Olson (Stephanie) of Bottineau, ND, Shane (Jennifer) Olson of Dunseith, ND, Alesha (Josh) Molacek of Callaway, MN and Amanda Olson of Fargo, ND; Nineteen grandchildren; Susan (Mario) Zamora, Jacoby (Jocy) White, BrayDen White, Kaci (Cody) Dahlinger, McKayla Nichols, Tristan Nichols, Jaxon Baisch, Noah Baisch, Brennon Olson, Riley Olson, Tyler Olson, Bethany Olson, Isabelle Olson, Donovan Hall, Josiah Molacek, Skylar Spessard, Sydney Spessard and Addyx Olson; and nine great-grandchildren; Isabella Zamora, Mario (Rio) Zamora, Zayla Dahlinger, Caysen Dahlinger, Clayten Dahlinger, Anneliese Olson, Rowan Olson, Zariah Hall and Zakai Hall.
Linda’s family would like to take this opportunity to express their appreciation for all the acts of kindness shown to their mother over the years. A huge thank you to all her friends and coworkers for keeping her busy during her retirement days and watching over her after the death of Don. We greatly appreciate each and every one of you.
Funeral Services will be held at: Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Minot, ND. Final Resting Place: Riverside Cemetery - Dunseith, ND, Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11 a.m.
