Diane Marie Abrahamson passed away peacefully July 13, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Diane was born December 10, 1947, the daughter of Willie and Marjorie (Deegan) Abrahamson, in Fargo, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot, North Dakota, where she spent the remainder of her life.
Diane worked for Young America until the company closed in 2001. She later worked for IMM as a bookkeeper until her retirement, forming many lasting friendships along the way.
The greatest loves of Diane's life were her family. Her son, Eric, born in 1973, was the light of her life, and they shared an incredibly special bond. She also cherished her grandchildren, Ian and Brenna, rarely missing an opportunity to spend time with them, attend their games and activities, celebrate their milestones, and create memories they will carry with them forever.
Anyone who knew Diane knew she could often be found at the hockey rink. She first cheered on Eric from the stands and later proudly supported her nephews and grandchildren. She rarely missed a game, always encouraging them with unwavering love and pride. Outside the rink, Diane found joy tending to her garden, relaxing in her backyard swing with a cup of coffee, and appreciating the simple moments at home. Whether surrounded by flowers in her garden or cheering from the stands, Diane found her greatest happiness in the people she loved.
Diane will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her kind heart, her quiet strength, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Eric (Calla) Abrahamson; her beloved grandchildren, Ian Abrahamson and Brenna (Kyle) Schultz; brother, Ricky Deegan; brother-in-law, Robert Fenner; sisters-in-law, Pam Abrahamson and Rochelle Abrahamson; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Marjorie Abrahamson; sisters, Penny Fenner, Sandy Brooks, and Darla Abrahamson; brothers, Daniel Abrahamson and Doug Abrahamson; and sister-in-law, Wanda Deegan.
