Eyvonne Guillen, 90, Minot, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Trinity Homes.

Eyvonne Catherine Kraft was born July 26, 1935, the daughter of George and Christine (Schmaltz) Kraft, in Barton, ND. She was raised on the farm north of Rugby and attended Spruce Hill Country Grade School. In 1949, the family moved to Rugby and continued farming and operated a small dairy business. Eyvonne attended Rugby High School and worked at several cafes.

She married Sam Rocheleau in October 1954. They farmed near Wolford, ND for four years and then purchased a motel in Ellendale, ND. During this time five children were born. Connie, Cherie, Corey, Cathy, and Tonia. They moved to Rugby in 1960 and later divorced in 1964.

Evyonne worked at Andrew’s Steak House. She attended business college for one year in Minot.

She began working at Ken Phiffner Insurance Company and moved her family to Minot. She married Henry Guillen in January 1981. He was a licensed electrician who had to work out of state on many occasions. While at home, they enjoyed camping, hunting, and working in the yard. They also enjoyed going dancing to country music. During the 1980s Eyvonne and Henry worked for the Democratic Party to elect Byron Dorgan, Kent Conrad, and the Pomeroys. She was an election worker for the party. Henry passed away May 27, 2016.

Eyvonne worked at a cookie shop in Dakota Square Mall then was a daycare provider. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her loving family includes: children, Connie (Harlan) Rice, Cherie Rocheleau, Corey Rocheleau, Cathy (Deleon) Rocheleau, Tonia Rocheleau; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild and 1 more to be born in July; sisters, Marlene Smith, Genevieve Petry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Guillen; brother, Richard Kraft; grandson, Brendan Rocheleau; and daughter-in-law, Dawn Rocheleau.

Liturgy of the Word: Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Minot, ND, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation: Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to Mandan Veterans Memorial.
