Elizabeth Grad

Dec. 11, 1957-June 11, 2026

Sawyer

Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Grad, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at her home in Sawyer. Born to Aubrey and Lucy (Goodson) McCall on December 11, 1957, in Plentywood, Montana, Beth grew up in Outlook and graduated from Westby High School in 1976.

Beth was a dedicated worker who loved supporting her family. Throughout her early years, she worked at Roy’s Super Value, managed a laundromat for her parents and helped run a local bar for her sister and brother-in-law Mary and Normand.

In 1978, Beth met the love of her life, Terry. They were married on April 19, 1979, and began a beautiful journey together, initially living in several close-knit Montana communities, including Froid, Scobey, Westby, and Culbertson.

Beth’s greatest joy was her family. She welcomed her son, Danny, on March 28, 1982, shortly before the family moved to Afton, Wyoming. Their family became complete with the birth of their daughter, Megan, on February 24, 1986. In 1992, they moved to Burlington, North Dakota, where they spent thirteen wonderful years before making their final move to Sawyer in 2005.

Beth filled her life with the things and people she loved most. She and Terry loved social outings and shared many fun memories playing on local dart leagues together. Above all, Beth cherished her role as a grandmother. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandkids, especially in the kitchen, where she passed down her love for baking and taught them her favorite recipes.

Beth will be remembered for her resilience, her warm spirit, and her deep, unwavering devotion to her family.

Beth’s loving family includes her husband of 47 years Terry, Sawyer, son Dan Grad, Walcott, ND, daughter Megan (Chad) Klimpel, Sawyer, ND, grandchildren Kailynn Grad, Kirkland (Madeline) Zitzow, Willow Keys, Lilith Slocum, Krymsyn Grad and James Klimpel, step-grandchildren Daniel, Jacob and Kaitlyn Klimpel, one great-grandchild on the way, and brother Michael (Monica Johnson) McCall, AZ, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Pat, Tim and Tom McCall and sister Mary Bartness.
