Wayne Pullen

Wayne Gerald Pullen of Fort Walton Beach FL and formerly of Stave Township, passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2026.

Wayne was born on April 4, 1931, in Donnybrook, North Dakota to Ira and Inez (Gandrud) and raised on the family farm. He graduated from Stanley high school in 1949, graduated from UND and Marquette University, enjoyed a 34 year career in the Air Force assigned to various worldwide postings, and retired in 1988 as a full Colonel.

He will be remembered for his devotion to family and his North Dakota roots, his passion for adventure and the outdoors, his enjoyment of hunting and fishing, and his skill as a carpenter among many other talents.

Wayne is survived by his sister Ardella, his brother Roger, his sons Mark, Craig and Brent, and his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Stella and brother Jerome.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Thomas Family Funeral Home in Minot. All who knew Wayne are warmly welcome to attend.

Interment with Military Honors: St. Luke’s Cemetery, Coulee, North Dakota
