Rhonda Rae (Weidner) Packineau (54), Teaching Woman “Agu maa owia Wiash” of Parshall, ND. departed to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in Bismarck, ND, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rhonda was proud of her given Hidatsa name and of being adopted into the Idishuga-Wide Ridge.

Rhonda was born on June 2, 1971, in Bismarck, North Dakota. She was a daughter of both the late Donald Weidner and Dianna (Streifel) Weidner. Rhonda was raised in Halliday, ND, and graduated from high school there in 1989. Growing up on her family farm, she developed a strong work ethic, resilience, and a fierce love for family. These qualities defined her throughout her life.

She was an outstanding basketball player from a young age. She carried that passion into her time on the Bismarck State College basketball team. While attending BSC, she received a degree in Electronics. Later, she continued her education at the University of Mary, where she pursued a degree in Business Management.

Throughout her life, Rhonda played in many amateur basketball tournaments in North Dakota. She was recognized and won many awards as a dominant force in the game she loved. During her time at Bismarck State College, she met her husband, Patrick Packineau.

Rhonda and Patrick moved to Parshall, ND, where they focused on raising and educating their three daughters. Together, they built a family rooted in love, loyalty, and strength. Her greatest pride and purpose in life was being a mother and grandmother.

While raising their family in Parshall, Rhonda was an editor for BHG. In 2003, she began her career as the Events Manager of 4 Bears Casino & Lodge. Rhonda became well known and respected in the casino industry for her dedication, passion, and tireless work ethic. Even while bravely battling cancer, she showed up with strength and determination. She inspired everyone around her with her perseverance and commitment. When she could no longer fulfill her physical duties, she still attended meetings remotely and assisted her events team as much as possible.

She was blessed with four grandchildren who became the center of her world. After the heartbreaking loss of her daughter, Cheyenne, she lovingly stepped in to raise her grandson, Kasten, as her own. She surrounded him with unwavering love, guidance, and protection.

Rhonda loved traveling, shopping, and enjoying good food. She went on numerous adventures all over the world with her family and friends. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with the people she loved most. She fiercely loved and protected her family and would do anything for those she cared about. Her strength, humor, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will miss her beyond words.
