Susan Casavant, 61, Minot and formerly of Rugby and Rolette died suddenly on Saturday, April 4, 2026 in her home with her husband at her side.

Susan Marie Conway was born on May 22, 1964 in Robbinsdale, MN at North Memorial Hospital, MN to Richard and Kay (Stone) Conway. She was raised and educated in Brooklyn Park, MN; graduated from Park Center High School and attended North Hennepin Community College where she received specialized training in accounting.

Susan met Mark Casavant while roller skating at Skateland in Brooklyn Park, MN and they were engaged shortly thereafter. Susan and Mark were married on July 28, 1990 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rolette, ND. They made their home in Brooklyn Park for a short time before they moved to Rolette in 1989 where Sue was employed by the Turtle Mountain Corporation. The family moved to Rugby in 1995 where Sue was employed at the Heart of America Medical Center prior to moving to Minot in 2002. As a resident of Minot Sue was employed at Trinity Hospital, Cookies For You, Barry’s Food and Fuel, Pet Parade and served as the Secretary of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church for the past 9 years.

Sue was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church and the North Dakota Human Rights Coalition, and she was a proud recipient of the Eagle Award. She especially enjoyed attending flea markets, yard sales, antiquing, cake decorating, cooking as well as arts and crafts.

Sue’s loving family includes her husband of 35 years Mark; children: Shaydora (Matthew) Todd of Minot and Calahan Casavant of Breckenridge, MN; siblings: Thomas Conway, Colleen Cooper, James Conway and William Conway all of Hinckley, MN; Joseph Conway of Sandstone, MN and Sean Conway of Siren, WI and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Charles Conway.

Celebration of the Life of Susan Casavant: Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in Cornerstone Presbyterian Church – Minot. A livestream of the service may be viewed by using the link in her website obituary.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church.

Memorials are preferred to the Cornerstone Church Soup Kitchen or the donor’s choice.
