Sebastian A. Poissant, 39, Minot, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
Sebastian Anthony was born on March 26, 1987, the son of Roger Morris and Lorenda Poissant at the Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA. After several moves with the Air Force, he was raised and educated in Minot. He was active in the BSA Troop #425 and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Bishop Ryan Catholic School in 2005. He furthered his education by attending Minot State University for a time.
Sebastian was blessed with his daughter, Shailee. He was once married, and from this union came two children, Dempsey and DemiMae. Sebastian was a devoted father and was willing to do anything for his three children, as well as his nieces and nephews.
Sebastian found his true calling as an Electrician and entered the IBEW 714 electrical union. He worked as a licensed apprentice and was currently a Journeyman at Burlington Electric for the past 7 years.
He loved spending time outdoors, visiting his parents at Johnson Lake, spending time around a campfire and just goofing around. He was a great friend and would do anything for someone in need.
Sebastian is survived by: his parents, Lorenda (John) Salling; children, Shailee, Dempsey and DemiMae; siblings, Jennifer Salling, John (Faith) Salling; maternal grandparents, Donald (Phyllis) Poissant; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Jean Salling.
Visitation: Sunday, April 19, 2026, from noon until 3 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Funeral Service: Monday, April 20, 2026, at 10:30 am at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Minot. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
Burial: A private family burial will take place.
