Elsie Delaine Best, the daughter of Harley and Myrtle (Anfinson) Moen was born on November 6, 1932 in rural Denbigh, North Dakota. She died at the age of 93 years on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at SMP Health St. Andrew’s in Bottineau, North Dakota. On May 5, 1949, she was united in marriage to Gerald Best at Zion Lutheran Parsonage in Towner. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Gloria Coyne (Darryl Carpenter) of Surrey; her son, Galen (Lara) Best of Towner; daughter-in-law, Marcia Best of Denbigh; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; a sister Lorine Gulstad and sister-in-law, Joyce McKinzie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30 at Zion Lutheran Church in Towner with burial after at Union Cemetery in Towner with lunch and fellowship to follow at the church. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 29 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service and sharing beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Towner.
