Elizabeth Love

Park Rapids, Minn.

We announce the passing of our mom, Elizabeth “Liz” Love. She was born November 25, 1928, in Bismarck, ND, to Carl and Martha Flurer (Ziegler). She was the second of three children, with brothers Paul and Richard (Dick).

Liz was a graduate of Bismarck High School. She attended one year of college at Jamestown College, where she met her husband, Robert (Bob) Love. After they married on November 27, 1948, she became secretary to the college president while Bob finished school.

They lived in various towns while their family grew, including Bismarck, Williston, Minot, Detroit Lakes, and Rugby, before returning to Minot in 1964. In December 2023, she moved to Park Rapids, MN, where she was a resident at Diamond Willow until her passing.

Bob and Liz loved camping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. After Bob passed away in 1989, Liz forged a new life for herself. She found friends to travel with, enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow, spent many winters in Mesa, AZ, and volunteered at Medora.

Liz is survived by her four children: Tim, Tom (Jacque), Janet (Paul Graalum), and Jeff (Sue); six grandchildren, Scott, John, Eric, Rob, Sam, and Ben; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special sister-in-law, Doris, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; her brothers; a sister-in-law (Bonnie); and her daughter-in-law (Debbie).

A memorial service for Elizabeth “Liz” Love will take place Saturday, May 16 at Cease Funeral Home of Park Rapids at 1:00 pm with a visitation an hour prior.
