Steven Feiring, 73, of White Earth, ND, passed away surrounded by his family on March 23, 2026, at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
Steve was born on October 30, 1952, in Stanley, ND, to Arnold and Ruth (Ruden) Feiring. He graduated from Tioga High School in 1970 and continued his education at Williston State College. He served in the Army National Guard. On March 16, 1974 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Berg at Faith Lutheran Church of rural Williston. Steve was baptized, confirmed, and a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church of White Earth.
He grew up on the family farm and ranch working alongside his brothers, continuing to ranch with his dad. He served as manager of the White Earth Grain Elevator, worked road construction, general contracting, and briefly in the oil field. In his retirement he owned and operated his own RV park business. He also served as mayor of the city of White Earth for 16 years.
Steve spent his life doing the things he loved: hunting, fishing, camping, and woodworking. He cherished time with his family, never missing a chance to watch his kids’ and grandchildren’s activities.
Steve is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy; children, Stacey (Tim), Travis (Abigail), and Stephanie (Matthew); and grandchildren, Annlea, Raylea, Zoey, Magnus, and Emma; sisters, Arnola (Dale) Savelkoul, Carol (Gene) Hanson; brother, Ronnye; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Maren Feiring, Glenda Feiring, JoAnne (Wally) Radtke, Marvin Larson, Betty (Jerry) Kelly, Eileen Johnson, Marvin Berg, Linda Bustad, and Nina (Ron) Jore; many nieces and nephews; and extended family, Andy, Jamie, and Greer Fuller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Ruth; brothers, Robert (Bernice), Larry, and Roy; mother and father-in-law, Lloyd and Hazel Berg. brothers-in-law, Duane (Leta) Berg, Dorlin Bustad, and Robert Johnson; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Larson.
There will be a public visitation held at the Springan Stevenson Funeral Home from 2:00-4:30 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2026 with a Family Service to follow beginning at 4:30 PM. Steven’s Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church in White Earth, ND. Milo Mell will officiate. Steven will be laid to rest at the White Earth Cemetery in White Earth, ND.
