Ronald Karnack Jr.

Sept. 23, 1965-Feb. 25, 2026

Grand Forks

Ron Karnack of Minot ND passed away unexpectedly Wednesday February 25th in Grand Forks ND. He was born at Fort Loring AFB in Maine on September 23, 1965 to Ronald and Sandra Karnack.

The family moved to several AFBs before landing in Minot in 1972. He graduated from Minot High School in 1983 and then from Minot State University. Ron was interested in many different artistic and creative techniques. He acted in high school and Mouse River Players thru 2004 and drummed and performed for Music Review.

Ron was a natural storyteller of either moments in his life or as a DM in role playing games. One of his favorite positions he held at ING was as a document writer where he could flex his literary muscles. His favorite artistic medium in the last several years was miniature painting for table top games. He had made a positive name for himself in the community of his peers.

But Ron most loved to laugh, to make others laugh and to use his quick wit to create the most irreverent jokes.

Ron and Kelli (Montplaisir) Karnack were married in June of 2005. Ron is survived by friends and relatives all over the country. Those who preceded him are enjoying a Ronversation with him on the other side.
