Myrtle Charlebois
Nov. 24, 1932-March 19, 2026
Minot
Myrtle Ann Charlebois, 93, Minot, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in her home.
Myrtle Ann was born November 24, 1932, the daughter of Anselm and Elizabeth (Engelhard) Bock, in Foxholm, ND. She grew up in Foxholm and went on to graduate from St. Leo’s in Minot, where she laid the foundation for a life defined by warmth, generosity, and devotion.
Myrtle was the beloved wife of Louis J. Charlebois, who preceded her in death in 2010. Together they built a family and a home filled with love.
Myrtle had a gift for making everyone around her feel cherished. Whether she was planning the next road trip or Sunday drive, setting up camp under the open sky, swimming in the lake, shuffling cards with her dear friends, gathering with her sorority sisters, or keeping a table full and making sure no one ever left hungry with her wonderful cooking, she did it all with grace and a full heart.
She was, in every sense of the word, home to so many.
Her loving family includes: children, Mari, Paula, and Robert; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren who were the light of her life; sister, Karen (Chubby) Steinberger; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; son, Dwight (Joe); siblings, Wilma and Lyle.
At her request, there are no formal services.
I can only hope to one day be a person who means the world to so many, just as she did.
