Cecilia Gerhart, 87, Minot, ND, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Trinity Hospital, Minot.
Cecilia Magdalen Kramer was born October 7, 1938, the daughter of George and Mary (Schneider) Kramer, on the family farm, southeast of Karlsruhe, ND. She was raised and educated in Karlsruhe. After high school Cecilia continued her education at Minot Business College.
Cecilia married Richard Gerhart on June 6, 1964, in Karlsruhe, ND. They made their home in Minot, and they were blessed with four children, Karla, Kimberly, Brian, and Craig. Richard passed away January 3, 1996.
Cecilia had a beautiful faith and cherished her visits from her fellow members of Little Flower Catholic Church who served communion or just stopped by to visit and pray.
She loved to make birthday treats for her loved ones. Her face would light up when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren would come to see her. She also loved it when family brought their dogs over.
Cecilia enjoyed crosswords, word search, card games, cooking, canning, baking, bingo, gardening and reading.
Her loving family includes: children, Kimberly (Tom) Weaver, Brian Gerhart (Barbara Swidas), and Craig (Nicole) Gerhart; grandchildren, Kristen (Noble) Lane, Sydney (Trevor) Thomas, Joshua (Tangarae) Johnson, Maddison Gerhart, and Delaney Gerhart; many great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Sandra) Kramer, and LeRoy (Carol) Kramer; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 31 years, Richard; daughter, Karla Gerhart; brothers, Robert Kramer, Francis (Shirley) Kramer, Wilfred Kramer.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service: Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: are preferred to Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot, or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
