Julie Rollman

Julie Ann (Bakken) Rollman, 78, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away on February 24, 2026. Julie was born on July 19, 1947 in Minot, ND, to Harris and Amy (Stenberg) Bakken.

As a child, Julie’s family followed Harris, a power line foreman, on his travels across North Dakota and Montana. The family settled in Granville, ND in 1961, where Julie attended school.

Julie married Gordon Rollman in 1966. She and Gordy lived in Minot, where their children, Kory and Kari, were born. In 1981, the family moved to Williston, ND, where they established Nortana Music.

In 2008, Julie and Gordy retired to Garrison, ND, where their garden and her crafts blossomed. In her spare time Julie enjoyed crocheting. She made numerous afghans, towels and crocheted chemo and baby caps for relatives and local hospital patients. Julie and Gordy were also members of the Garrison Congregational Church.

In 2016, Julie and Gordy moved to Mesa, AZ. They enjoyed a lot of activities in their retirement community. Julie especially liked water aerobics and games (especially card games). They also enjoyed participating in the local community chapel services and activities.

Julie is survived by her husband, Gordon Rollman of Mesa, AZ; her children, son Kory Rollman of Grays River, WA and daughter Kari (Dave) Daughtery of Ludlow, KY; her grandchildren, Jordan Daughtery of San Diego, CA and Haley (Tyler) Trame of Cleves, OH; her great-grandson, Griffin Trame; her siblings, Alan (Denise) Bakken of Ada, OK, Becky (Ken) Hughes of Missoula, MT, Brenda (Scott) Backes of Glenburn, ND, and Beverly (Mark) Nelson of Olympia, WA; her brothers and sisters-in law, Ken & Jenell Rollman of Garrison, ND, Jackie & Layne Asplund of Vancouver, WA, and Earl & Arline Rollman of Mesa, AZ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
