Minot
Patrick C. “Rick” Wolf, lovingly known as “Wolfy”, age 57, Minot, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 at a Minot hospital. Rick was born in Minot on December 3, 1968 to Daniel and Kathleen (VanNatta) Wolf. He cherished his hometown, the people in it, and the many friendships he built along the way.
Rick is survived by his daughter, Tasha (Brady Stewart) Wolf; mother, Kathleen (Jerry) Burckhard; stepmother, Nancy Wolf; brothers, Bob (Lisa) and Dave (Chris) Wolf; and sisters, Ronda (John) Sperduti, Trisha Thorson, and Tyra Wolf. He will also be fondly remembered by the many extended family members, friends, and others who were lucky enough to cross his path.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Wolf; his beloved companion, Elizabeth Seidman; stepson, Christopher Seidman; and dear friend, Doug Larson, all of whom had a special place in his heart. It is true that a dog is a man’s best friend and that holds true with his faithful companion, Jess. They were inseparable.
To describe Rick is easier said than done. He was kind, fiercely loyal, and had a heart of gold. He would do anything for you – if he liked you – and once you were “in”, you were family for life. Quick witted and unapologetically honest, Rick was often the life of the party. There was never a dull moment when he was around, and his booming laughter and larger-than-life presence could fill any room.
A true jack of all trades, Rick took great pride in his construction work and had a remarkable ability to fix just about anything. His creativity, craftsmanship, and work ethic were evident in everything he touched. Equally impressive was his love of cooking – Rick was a butcher, baker, smoker, and canner. If it involved preparing food, he could do it and do it exceptionally well. Many will fondly remember gathering around Rick’s table, where good food, good stories, and laughter were always plentiful.
Rick’s love for the outdoors was a defining part of his life. He found joy and peace in fishing, hunting, skiing, and cheering on his favorite World of Outlaws events. These passions weren’t just hobbies – they were how he connected with friends, family, and the world around him.
Rick will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his generosity, humor, skill, and the unmistakable mark he left on everyone who knew and loved him
Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Cat’s Lounge in The Hotel Revel, where friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and honor a live lived full and unapologetically.
