Oct. 11, 1956-Dec. 2, 2025
Minot
Petra Baehm, 69, Minot, ND, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.
Petra was born October 11, 1956, the daughter of Peter and Marianne (Walther) Staschok, in Florstadt, Germany. She was raised and educated in Germany.
Petra met the love of her life, Gregory Baehm, in 1974 in Florstadt. They were married on November 3, 1975, in Williston. They made their home in Minot, ND, where they raised their four children, Jason, Tanya, Nicole, and Cory. Petra was a homemaker taking care of the children and keeping the house running while Greg worked on the railroad. She would send Greg off to work every morning with lunch in hand. Petra was welcoming to everyone; her home became a second home for many of the kids’ friends.
She grew to love watching American football and became a huge Packers fan. She had a deep love for animals, often donating money to animal shelters. Her favorite will always be Beagles. She also loved outdoor décor such as plants and flowers.
Petra was proud of her German roots and raised her children to appreciate her traditions, such as fireworks on New Year’s Eve and attending Octoberfest. She was the glue that held the family together, making sure to always have a family meal together and she never missed giving the kids a card and a little gift on every holiday. She knew how to make the kids feel special.
She will always be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, and a little bit of stubbornness. She will be incredibly missed by everyone who loved her.
Her loving family includes: husband of 50 years, Gregory Baehm; children, Jason Baehm, Tioga, ND, Cory Baehm, Minot, ND, Tanya (Ryan Piper) Baehm Mandan, ND, Nicole Baehm, Minot, ND. and a niece and numerous cousins residing in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lothar Staschok; and many beloved pets
