Marlene Florence Goeson, 89, Mohall, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, at her home.

She was born Aug. 11, 1936, on the family farm in Plain Township, Renville County, a daughter of Ed and Cecelia (Keller) Clementich. She attended rural schools in that area and graduated from St. Leo’s High School in 1955. She graduated from Sisters of St. Francis Nursing School in Minot and became a Registered Nurse. She worked as the head nurse on the medical floor at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Minot.

Marlene married Bernard “Bernie” Goeson on Oct. 5, 1959, at St. Leo’s in Minot. They moved to a farm near Lake Darling, then to Mohall. They operated their dairy farm just south of Mohall. They later owned and operated Bernie’s Service in Mohall; they sold it to her daughter and she continued to work for them until her retirement. Bernie died Nov. 19, 2018.

Marlene was an avid reader and scrapbooker, and enjoyed going for long walks.

Family: Children, Danny (Carrie) Goeson, La Mirada, Calif., Joey (Jessica Wickwire) Gueson, Walsenburg, Colo., Cecelia (Ted) Shook, Grand Junction, Colo., Melissa “Missy” (Kevin) Goeson, Mohall, Angie Sundahl, Mandan; grandchildren, Travis (Lindsey) Tandy, Jeremy (Heidi) Tandy, Megan (Kevin) Chase, Christopher (Dakota) Sundahl, Nicholas (Tara) Sundahl; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Schaan, Snoqualmie, Wash., Alice (Robert) Schiewek, of Ore.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marlene was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Bernie; infant daughter; brothers, Rev. LeRoy, Francis “Bud,” Orvin, twin-brother Melvin, and Glen Clementich.

Funeral: A private family funeral will be held.

Burial: Mohall Community Cemetery, Mohall.
