Sandra Schweitzer, 78, Berthold, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at Trinity Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra Lynn Miller was born September 28, 1947, daughter of Andy Miller and June (Johnson) O’Clair, in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in the Deering and Tolley areas.

Sandra was united in marriage to Gaynard Schweitzer on January 15, 1966. They made their home in Berthold, where they raised their two children, Ronda and Chad. Sandra was a housewife for many years and she had a ceramic shop that she ran out of the home while working at the Berthold Post Office part time.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Berthold.

Sandra enjoyed playing Bingo and card games. There was always a pot of coffee on; she looked forward to having coffee with her family and friends. Sandra loved to spend time with her family, especially while camping at Mouse River Park. Her grandkids were her world. She will be greatly missed by everyone who loved her.

Her loving family includes: husband of 59 years, Gaynard; children, Ronda (Faron) Ehlke, and Chad (Darla) Schweitzer grandchildren, Ryan (Taylor) Schweitzer, Lacey (Payton Jerome) Schweitzer, Jory (Amber) Ehlke, Shayla (Derrick) Erie; great-grandchildren, Joplin Ehlke, Saylor and Sutton Erie; brother, Rodney (Karen) Miller, Scott O’Clair; sister, Debbie Knutson brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alvera Larson, Jeanette Schelling, Janice Aubol, Peggy Schweitzer, Wayne Bjornrud, Marlyee Grabanski, Charlotte and Lowel Halvorson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerald (Linda) Miller and Duane Miller; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Eugene Knutson, Delvin Schweitzer, Everett and Pauline Schweitzer, John Larson, Virgil Aubol, Marvin Schelling, LeRoy Schweitzer, Carol Bjornrud, Donald Grobanski.

Funeral: Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Berthold.

Interment: McKinney Cemetery, rural Tolley, ND at 2:00 pm.

Memorials: are preferred to Berthold Ambulance Services and Berthold Zion Food Pantry.
