LaVerne Albertson

LaVerne “Norsky” Albertson, 74, passed away Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at his home in Tonopah, AZ.

LaVerne August Albertson was born May 5, 1951 in Minot, ND to Vernon and Shirley (Miller) Albertson. He graduated from Minot High School in 1969.

Throughout his life he worked for Nielson Stewart, East Side Enterprise, Minot Builders, Aasen Landscaping, Keller Paving, and Qualex Construction.

In 1970, he married Connie Halverson, and they had a son Shannon. They divorced, and he married Peggy Hedgecough, and they divorced. July of 2022, he married Mary “Banjo” Brandt.

LaVerne is survived by his mother Shirley, wife Mary, son Shannon, brother Paul (Sheryl), nephews Beau (Tiffany) and Brandon, niece Breann (Josh) Zietz, great nieces and nephew Coley and Jovie Albertson, Beckett and Bexley Zietz.

Mary’s children Rebecca Vettel, Melissa (Kevin) Bossingham, and Robert Brandt.

Preceded in death by his father Vernon, Aunt Darlene Ashwell, and grandparents.

Service will be Monday, November 24, 2025 at Saron Lutheran Church in Minot at 10:30 am.
