Carol Craft, 87, of Stanley, North Dakota, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley, North Dakota.

Carol was born March 5, 1938 to Simon and Gladys Sperry. She attended school in Minot, graduating from Minot High. She met Syd Craft at the State Fair and amid the twirling fair rides a romance for a lifetime was born. This marriage of 66 years was a partnership in many endeavors.

Carol was active in her church, Sunday school teacher, township (secretary for many years), Jaycettes, and Red Hatters to name a few. Carol and Syd enjoyed traveling and saw many places in the USA. They settled with a place in Arizona for the winter. The last 10 years have been spent taking care of Syd. Their love for each other really was eternal, Carol peacefully passed away exactly two years to the day after her beloved husband.

Carol is survived by her children, Warren (Meredith) of Stanley, ND, Debbie (Tim) Leidholm of Coleharbor, ND, Don of Stanley, ND, and Cindy (Mikel) Leidholm of Weyerhaeuser, WI; grandchildren, Jenice, Carrie, Dakota, Kahla, Mitch, Tyler, Kayla, Heather, Holly, Hope, Amber, Layne, April, Mindy, Tasha, Kelli, and Kyle; many great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild; and her surviving brothers Wade Sperry and Marlyn Sperry.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Syd; parents, Gladys and Simon Sperry; and brothers, Allen and Dick Sperry.

There will be a public visitation held from 2:00-5:00 PM on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the Springan Stevenson Funeral Home in Stanley, North Dakota with a private family service to follow. Carol’s Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Knife River Lutheran Church in Stanley, North Dakota. Don Longmuir will officiate. Carol will be laid to rest at the Knife River Lutheran Cemetery in Stanley, North Dakota.
