Aroon Morano
May 6, 1941-Nov. 12, 2025
Minot
Aroon (Ann) Morano, 84, Minot, died Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in her home surrounded by family.
Aroon was born on May 6, 1941, the daughter of Jumpe and Heam Krobtong, in Bangkok, Thailand. She was raised and educated in Bangkok, Thailand.
Aroon was united in marriage to John Morano on July 13, 1971 in Ubon, Thailand. This union was blessed with two children. While John served in the U.S. Air Force, they made their home throughout the world and stateside in Bergstrom AFB, TX, Homestead AFB, FL and Minot AFB, ND where she began working in food service. Following John’s discharge, they settled in Minot where she continued working in food service and was employed with Trinity Homes and Minot Public Schools.
On November 15, 1985, Aroon became a U.S. Citizen. She was truly proud of that accomplishment and to be an American.
Aroon was an avid gardener and was often found attending to her beloved flowers. She loved listening to country and Christmas music. Since she was always caring for others, no matter who it was, she earned the nickname “Mama.” She enjoyed sharing homemade meals especially her famous Thai food and by no means let anyone leave hungry.
Our family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors and nurses of Trinity Health and the staff of both Home Instead and HIA Hospice for the love and care given to Ann over the years. Your love and compassion is appreciated.
Aroon’s loving family includes her husband John, Minot, children Maryann (Allan) McCallum, Manvel, TX and Eddy (Sherry) Morano, Escondido, CA, granddaughter Tiffany Hartwell, Columbus, IN, great-grandson, Ryan Hartwell, Columbus, IN, sisters-in-law Marlene Mascetti, Clinton, MA and Donna (John) Lindberg, Gardner, MA, brother-in-law Thomas (Jami) Morano, Bradenton, FL, stepmother-in-law Jane Morano, Clinton, MA along with numerous nieces and nephews.
