Timothy Holte, 71, Velva, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at his home.

Timothy Kreg Holte was born on April 29, 1954, in Minot, ND, to Richard and Bette (McDowell) Holte. He was raised and educated in Velva, where he graduated from Velva High School. He furthered his education by attending the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND.

On June 7, 1988, Tim was united in marriage to Laurel Sullivan. They made their home in the Velva area, where Tim worked for CF Industries for 37 years. He was one of the main operators and served as the safety coordinator at the Anhydrous Ammonia Plant. He took great pride in his work.

He was hardworking, loud, boisterous, and funny. He loved to cook, eat, and to be in his garden. He liked to have good time and party. He had a contagious bellowing laugh. He loved his family more than anything. He was a Minnesota Vikings fan.

His loving family includes his sons, Braden Holte and Ethan Holte, both of Minot; brother, Gerald (Kathy) Holte; sister, Joette (Larry) Turner; sisters-in-law, Gwenith Tomlinson, and Joette Racine; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Gloria Christianson, Mrytle Hasbrook, and Janeen Martinson; and brothers-in-law, Wayne and Larry Sullivan.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 16, 2025, one hour prior to the service at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 11 am in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Burial: a private family committal service will take place at a later date.
