Randy Lynn Fyllesvold, 43, rural Antler, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at a Minot hospital.

He was born Feb. 20, 1982, in Minot, to Jerald and Bonnie (Olson) Fyllesvold. He was raised in Plaza and graduated from Plaza High School in 2000. He attended Williston State College and received a degree in auto technology. He farmed in the Plaza area with his brother, Roger.

At Nodak Speedway, he met Kharra Peterson; they were married Oct. 25, 2008. He continued farming and ranching in the Plaza area until 2019 when they moved to their current home south of Antler where Randy farmed with his father-in-law, Larry Peterson. In addition to farming, he helped other farmers with their projects.

Randy was a member of the Antler Fire Department, the Antler Outlaws, served on the Mouse River Soil Conservation board, served as the Sherman Township Supervisor and was the bus driver for the M-L-S student council.

He recently built a cabin at Lake Metigoshe, was a stock car racer for many years, enjoyed wake surfing and being involved in the activities of his children.

Family: Wife, Kharra Fyllesvold, Antler; children, Hudson and Miles Fyllesvold, at home; mother, Bonnie (Richard Rensch) Fyllesvold, Minot; brother, Roger (Kelli) Fyllesvold, Plaza; sister, Jodi (Lars) Hanson, Clear Lake, S.D.; maternal grandmother, Violet Olson, Minot; father- and mother-in-law, Larry and Janice Peterson, Antler; nieces and nephews, Cambry, Cayson and Carter Fyllesvold, and Taylor, Jennifer and Tanner Hanson; Godson, Crosby Kirkhammer; sisters-in-law, Teresa (Josh) Duchscherer, Sawyer, Caylla Haman, Bottineau; aunts and uncles, Jim and Valerie Peterson, Minot, Daryl and Christine Peterson, Donny “Woody” and Janis Wood, Jacksonville, Fla., Joyce and Vern Welder, Bismarck, Shirley and Greg Petz, New Town, Sharon and Dick Frye, Cascade, Mont. and Wayne and Barb Olson, Plaza; and numerous cousins.

Randy was preceded in death by: His father, Jerald Fyllesvold; maternal grandfather, Marvin Olson; and paternal grandparents, Russell and Rosie Fyllesvold.

Funeral: 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.

Burial: Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church Cemetery, rural Antler.

Sharing of Memories service (Open to the public): 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 15, 2025, at the church.
