Bette was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and was active in the ladies clubs within the church. She also belonged to the Quota Club and was a staple of bowling leagues for many years. This dedication to the sport earned her the Lela Lind Award in 1982 and the Star of Yesteryear in 2004.
