Barbara L. Jenson, 81, Minot, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 in her home.

Barbara Louise Larson was born on March 27, 1944, a daughter of George W. and Marguerite (Schellenbaum) Larson in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot, where she attended Frost School south of Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1962.

She began working for Westland Oil in 1961. She would learn to use the first computer in the office. In 1965, Barbara left Westland Oil and transferred to Bridgeman Creamery.

On April 29, 1977, Barbara was united in marriage to William “Bill” Jenson. They made their home in Minot, where Barbara continued to work for Bridgeman until 1982, when they moved to Mandan. While in Mandan, Barbara worked as a “Kelly Girl” which was a job placement program where workers were needed. In 1997, they returned to Minot, where Barbara worked for Command Labor, and later for Coughlin Construction as an administrative assistant.

Barbara was a member of Women of The Moose, Tops 223, a former member of Saron Lutheran and Christ Lutheran Church and current member of Zion Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed reading books and had a special bond with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was a very proud and loving grandmother, aunt, and wife.

Barbara is survived by: children Kelly (Carolyn) Jenson, Cheryl (Jerome Fox) Mulligan; four grandchildren: Troy Jenson, Kody (Leslie) Mulligan, Katie (Garrett) Whittrock and Kasey (McKenzie) Mulligan; one sister Luella Conine; In-laws: Mary Larson, Clair Larson, Yvonne Larson, Shirley Jenson, Vera Wright, and Darell Olson; Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 46 years, William “Bill” Jenson; siblings, Olive (Duane) Hill, Donald (Marjorie) Larson, Phyllis (Joe) Bertsch, Arnold Larson, David Larson, and Russell Larson; In-law Wesley Jenson, Melvin (Jeannette) Jenson, Erwin Wright, Loraine Olson, Janice Werman; step-mother, Inez Halvorson Larson.

Visitation: Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 4-6 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Thursday, September 11, 2025, 10 am at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed on Zion Lutheran Church web-page.

Burial: Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 3 pm at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, North Dakota
