Shirley J. Haverluck, 68, Surrey, ND, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in her home surrounded by her children.
Shirley Jean Dunn was born August 15, 1956, the daughter of Willard and Eldora (Janousek) Dunn, in Minot, ND. She was raised in Surrey and graduated from Surrey High School in 1974.
After graduation, she raised Pamela and in 1978 met Gordon, the love of her life, and six months later they were united in marriage. They made their home in Minot until 1980 when they found their forever home in Surrey, where they raised their three wonderful children, Pamela, Crystal, and Gordie. Gordon sadly passed away on July 17, 2024.
Shirley worked for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Trinity Health as a Medical records analyst and also held many various jobs thereafter. Most recently she was employed with ProCollect LLC.
Shirley loved gardening and planting flowers. She loved going to her grandkids’ sporting events, and coffee and cards with friends. Also, Shirley was a softball coach for many years.
Her loving family includes: children, Pamela (Tristan) Scheig, Crystal (Carl) Cree, and Gordie (Nicole) Haverluck; grandchildren, Alexander, Trevor, Matayah, Avery, Ean; step-grandchildren, Cole, Rylan, Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Leighton, and Mason; siblings, Richard (Mary) Dunn, Kevin (Rhonda) Dunn, Kathy Mehl, William (Brenda) Dunn, and James (Tami) Dunn; in-laws, Daniel Haverluck, Ernie (Tina) Newman, Mary Mosser, Susan (Bob) Mosser, Kim (Jerry) Kuntz, Jodi (Tim) Meckle; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 45 years, Gordon Haverluck; brother-in-law, Edward Haverluck; sister-in-law, Gloria Emery.
Funeral: Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: are preferred to Companions for Kids.
