Roscoe G. Rhodes, 85, Minot, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025 in his home.

Roscoe Gary Rhodes was born on September 20, 1939, a son of Roscoe M. and Emma (Halley) Rhodes in Rugby, ND. He was raised on the farm near Bantry, ND and attended Minot Public Schools, where he graduated in 1958. During his schooling years, Roscoe worked for the Red Owl Grocery store. Following graduation, he went to work at Rosehill Memorial Park as a caretaker of the cemetery.

In 1955, Roscoe enlisted into the United States Army National Guard. In 1961, he was called into active duty. He proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1964. During this time, he also worked for the United States Postal Service. Following his honorable discharge, Roscoe continued working for the Postal service until his retirement in 1994.

On June 7, 2002, Roscoe was united in marriage to Beatrice Walter in Towner, ND. They made their home in Minot.

He was a member of Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot.

He is survived by: Wife, Beatrice; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren: two great-great-grandchildren: three step-children: seven step-grandchildren: and five step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Dulcie; two daughters, Julie Self and Heidi Ostrander; and all nine of his siblings.

Visitation: There will be no viewing, as Roscoe has donated his body to UND Medical School, however, friends may sign a guest register on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 3 until 5 pm in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorial Service: Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1 pm at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot.

Burial: A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
