Towner

James Richard Evenson, 70 years old of Towner, died under the care of his family and hospice after a short but hard fought battle with cancer.

James was born on May 25, 1955 in Minot, to Harriet and Childs “Chuck” O. Evenson. James is survived by his children, Scott (Kayla) Evenson of Leonard, Beverly (Stephen) of Zap; John of Denbigh and Jessica of Towner; his sister, Judy Erickson (Arlin) of Towner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy in 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 15 at First Lutheran Church in Granville with burial in the Granville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service and sharing of memories beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Towner.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses that cared for James at Trinity Hospital and the HAMC Hospice team that cared for James at home.
