Frances Triplett, 93, Minot, died Wednesday, July 30, 2025 in her home.

Frances Leone Yale was born on January 18, 1932, a daughter of Harold and Jenny (Schelling) Yale Sr. in Greene, ND. She was raised on the family farm near Greene, ND where she attended Grassland Township Country School. She then transferred to Mohall, where she graduated from Mohall High School in 1948.

On December 15, 1950, Frances was united in marriage to Basil Hedberg. They made their home on the Hedberg farm near Tolley, ND. Together they had three children Steven, Alan and Cathy. Basil was tragically killed in a construction accident on September 30, 1961. Frances continued to live on the farm with the children.

On October 29, 1966, Frances was united in marriage to Voyle Triplett. The family lived on the farm near Tolley. Frances was a farm wife, assisting with all aspects of farming. In 1988, they retired and moved into Kenmare. She enjoyed gardening, canning, was an excellent bread baker, and made amazing raspberry jam. She was a loving grandmother who continued her mother’s tradition of making personalized quilts for each of the grandchildren. Voyle died May 23, 2016.

Frances was a former member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tolley, ND.

She is survived by:

Children: Steven Hedberg, Alan (Donna) Hedberg, Cathy Hedberg;

Step-children: Laurie (Vicky) Triplett, Renee (Phil) Steinberger;

Daughter-in-law: Carol Triplett;

Fifteen grandchildren;

Twenty-three great-grandchildren:

Siblings: Helen Hedberg;

Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Basil and Voyle, two brothers Harold and Edward; stepsons Elwood and Theron.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 10 am until service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot
