Chuck Benson, 69, Rapid City, SD, formerly of Minot, died February 3, 2025, in his home.

Charles Kenneth Benson was born on January 30, 1956, to Kenneth and Harriet Benson of Minot. He graduated from Minot High School in 1974 and spent his childhood summers at Lake Metigoshe, where he was on the Club de Skinautique Waterskiing Team. He graduated from Minot State University in 1979 where he was a member of Mu Sigma Tau Fraternity.

Chuck lived all over the Midwest for his work, spending the last 15 years in Rapid City, SD. His passions were tennis, water and snow skiing, cycling and his faith.

Chuck is survived by his sister, Barbara Frykman (Dennis) of Atlanta and nieces Lindsay, Whitney and Bethany. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Bob and Bruce Benson.

Graveside service: Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Section 22 of Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, with lunch to follow. Arrangements entrusted with Thomas Family Funeral Home of Minot.
