Audrey Collins, 88, Minot, ND, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, in her home.

Audrey Oreene Frye was born on March 10, 1937, in Wolseth, the beloved daughter of Jacob and Faye “Elsie” (Talley) Frye. She was raised in Minot, North Dakota, where she also received her education.

On September 30, 1955, Audrey married Dick Roderick. As a devoted military wife, she embraced the adventure of traveling the world alongside Dick during his service in the U.S. Air Force. Together, they were blessed with three children: Rochelle, Shawn, and Steven. In 1970, the family returned to Minot, where they made their home. Dick passed away on July 8, 1972.

After his passing, Audrey focused on supporting her family and advancing her education. She worked as a bookkeeper at St. Joseph’s from 1972 to 1982 and later pursued a degree in accounting at Minot State College, proudly graduating in 1984.

On September 18, 1982, Audrey found love again and married Robert Collins and the family grew to include two adult sons, Steve and Mike. The two shared a passion for travel and explored the world together, creating countless cherished memories until Robert’s passing on August 17, 1996.

Audrey was a faithful member of Little Flower Catholic Church, actively participating in the Mass Auxiliary and the Women’s Confraternity. She was also a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she found deep friendships and community.

Audrey loved gardening, traveling, and playing cards with friends and family. An exceptional cook, Audrey found great joy in preparing meals and bringing loved ones together around the table.

Her loving family includes: children, Rochelle (Roderick) Van Ryn, Steven (Elizabeth) Roderick, Steve (Janice) Collins, Mike (Debbie) Collins; grandchildren, Nathan Van Ryn, Sarah Van Ryn, Ryan (Savannah) Roderick, Taylor Roderick, Natasha (Johnny) Daniel, Christine (Dave) Devine, Nicole Collins, Kaylene Collins, Tara (Dominic) Staeheli, Amber (Brian) Musselman, Shannon Roth; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick; husband, Robert; son, Shawn Roderick; brother, Duane Frye.

Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Thursday at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
